Long time lurker

Salut all o7, I found this forum a few years ago when I got my 06' EX250. First and only bike, but it wasn't until I stopped having a car that I started to ride more. Riding in whatever weather California throws at me.

Painted the back and side panels black. Gonna add a red and green stripe as well. Planning to hold onto the bike as long as I can.

Mods done so far:
- 15tooth front sprocket , 44 in the rear. I wanted reduced RPMs at higher speeds. Before this change the airbox was always getting so much oil in it if I was riding at +55 for longer then 30 minutes.
- Dirt bars. Wasnt able to find risers for the clip-ons, so I drilled out the holes in the upper triple and used the outlaw racing 7/8th bar mounts. During this swap I found out my clipon was bent anyway, so I'm glad I did that.
- Front galfer SS brake lines. Did the front first (also installed speed bleeders) to see what the improvements would be like. Just recently put in an order for rear lines as well
- Valve adjustment at 18k. Was daunted to do this at first, but so glad when I did. The bike felt so much better to ride after this.
- EX500 clutch + brake levers.

welcome GO7.

"Valve adjustment at 18k. Was daunted to do this at first, but so glad when I did. The bike felt so much better to ride after this."

Wish all EX owners executed this essential function. I'll bet you encountered some that were tight, no?

Hi Eli, welcome! I like the black panels. They take away some of the heavy look the pregens have. I did a similar thing with mine. (sorry to the regular guys here for posting it multiple times)

All of them were pretty close to the tightest tolerance. I read on the wiki that's not uncommon

Yours looks great! I've ridden a few times without that front fairing. The bike looks quite clean without it.

I'd keep it off if riding highway without it didnt feel shaky XD

But with a crosswind, it's much less shaky without the fairing!
