So-cal meet and greet 11-20-10

Ok it's been talked about in several threads so who is able to meet up next Saturday. If you want to meet up post where you are at and if you can ride freeways or not. If not you can still meet up and just drive your cage. Can meet at a restaurant or coffee shop type place.

I live in lakewwod and am willing to go anywhere from the Vally to San Diego, soooooooo...

I live by cerritos mall. we should ride sometime. got to watch boxing this saturday at victorville. quite a drive so i dont know how late i can kick it on saturday. but im down to meet and greet even before saturday. glad to have a fellow ninjetter around the area. let me know.

Yea seems to be a lack of interest in a meet so doesn't look Like it's goi g to happen, I'll try again after thanksgiving.

Sheeejay I ride all day every Saturday, during the week not so much other then work commute and errands due to work as I wake up at 4 am with lots of stuff in between. Just let me know when a ride is good for you and we can do it up. This Saturday I am heading down the coast probably end up in San D the following Saturday pick a place and time and we will roll out, I usually leave my house around 9 or 10 and get back at dusk though I am super flexable about time distance and where we head too. Sundays are for football though

20th works for me so I will try and change the post title to reflect it, early next week we will see who else is interested and come up with the place, would be nice to get a bunch of us together and feel free to invite significant others if they ride and want to go.

Yup we will set the place and time next Tuesday or so to give people the weekend to make plans, with 2 of you guys in sd area and me and jay where we are middle point beach cities may be a good place as we can all take te coast for a good ride after we chat up some and have some grub.

I am a tard just noticed BW is the other way lol. We will pick the spot when more people post lol.

Because I don't know enough about track days to yet myself to a track yet let alone a group of people that are spread out all over so-cal. I have started researching tracks and track days and I am going to start next year. After I get a feel for it I may be able to set one up but for right now this is the best I can do.

This! Running with other 250s is a blast, and I hardly ride on the street these days anyways, so the track is easier for me. Way more fun, too

That said, I might be able to make the 20th to say hi to some other ninjetters depending on the where and when. I do technically have plans that day, but I'd estimate they have about a 60% chance of falling through (sigh

BTW... I prefer the morning as well... and I've already ridden from Pendleton up to Aneheim when I was doing sword detail practice for the Marine Corps ball... so I don't mind a ride before the meet.

Ok guys I am thinking out near paulettes way for the meet and set up for around 11:30 meet time. Casper you can ride up to where me and jay are at and the three of us can ride up the 710 to Pasadena, nem can roll up in the civic and zombi can roll up as well from the vally and it's about as central for all of us, the only person left out is az and we can route surface streets for her if she wants to or she can come up in a cage. After we meet eat and chat up we can hit baldy for a quick run (BW baldy is perfect for you all sweepers 2 lanes up and down for us) if bw doesn't want to run baldy we can head down to sunland and hit ACH for a cruise if you guys want to.

Pasadena is a big ride from SD but wanted to five the option, Pasadena is not 100% yet I want to hear what everyone thinks about so we can discuss for today and finalize it all a bit later tonight. I just want to make it as convenient for ad many people as possible.

**** **** **** **** **** ****! I just saw the weather report and rain all day Saturday and Sunday I think we are gong to have to postpone this. With how far some of us have to go and how crappy LA drivers are in the rain I don't want to chance it for people. I'll be out of town after this weekend till the 10th. If someone wants to take charges and hold it the following weekend or something I am all for it otherwise I'll try and set it up again for either a weekend in December or right after the new year.

Cool! I did notice a few active members were from SD! I hope one day when it clears up and when I have my license and not just my permit, we could all meet up!

I saw the weather forecast for this weekend as well and it does look like it's going to rain sadly. I'd rather have it postponed than ride in rainy weather.

GRRRRR... another meet canceled. I do understand how new riders might not want to ride in weather though. Would have been a 2 1/2 hour ride to Pasadena (once you calculate in traffic)... wait it's a bike... more like 1 3/4 hours lane sharing...lol. Oh well, I'll look out for the next one.

Sorry man, I tried just bad luck. Don't worry I'll set another one up soon. If not in December then January for sure.

I actually don't mind riding in rain. It's all the maintenance afterwards that sucks (lubing chain, washing bike, etc).

Rain gear also makes a huge difference. Had a mesh jacket on the freeway and the rain felt like hail

and of course there's a rain smiley.
