Absolutely understandable, college is important and quite expensive. You're a good Dad in my book. There was a Yoshimura style exhaust for sale, but I missed it by an hour. The seller only wanted $60, he forgot to delete his post after selling it.

Oh well, it would have been a nice complement to my Dynojet stage 2. I don't see myself spending another $500+ for a full exhaust. I just dropped $400 for valve adjustment, carb clean, rebuild, sync ,and other stuff.

^Nice! Corbin is great, especially on long 2hr+ trips . My next mod will probably be a Yoshi fender eliminator. Good plan on shimming the needles and upgrading the main jets, it's all you really need for slips-on. I think right now I'm just running on shimmed needles, it's been 2 years since I personally removed the carbs.

I wanted to originally do a stage 3 and get rid of the airbox, but changed my mind. I just wanna keep it simple and focus on maintaining other parts of the bike. I gotta replace the valve cover gasket. I just bought ninja 300 rear shock & springs, the one on my 250 is rusty, but everything else is clean.

Heh, heh... my. CBR600RR has Yoshimura RS-5 full-system installed by previous owner. I had to go get noise-reduction insert to qualify for Laguna Seca. That was 10-yrs ago and I've never removed it! Honestly, fast quiet bikes just feels faster than loud bikes, regardless of speed!

are talking about midpipe to slip on?i have haven't bought the el cheapo full system yet but it's coming eventually. anyways, they have a universal adapter to connect mid to slip on. it works good but im using hoseclamp trick to hold springs on.(they provide the extra spring holders for welding on pipe if ya go that route) i'm not seeing any leak by, can wiggle side to side slightly. using a slingshot racing bracket which pulls the muffler over towards bike quite a bit. the mid pipe needs a slight bend in to fix this. i'll take a close up of adapter for ya.

clearance from slip on to swingarm 3/16"

the midpipe adapter allows enough wiggle room to tuck in toward bike. helps to have a slingshot bracket which can be bent slightly to perfect your fit.
