Turn Signals Stopped Working!

Let me start off by saying I have the flush-mount proton front turn signals and the eliminator back taillight kit installed with an updated relay to hold the led.
Last year I spent a decent amount of time riding the cycle with no issues, then a bad storm ended up coming through unannounced and ended up raining on bike for awhile. couple days past I got it back out to ride and turn signals didn't work, none of them. by then it was pretty much winter and I decided I would deal with it next year.
Well Finally Spring and started playing around with it. Fuses are fine and relay is getting power to it. seems to be a low voltage (Not sure how much it is or how much its supposed to be. using one of those light needles to check power) so I plugged relay back in and took the turn signal switch apart and checked to see if its getting power to it. well Its getting power to the middle wire which is the power in, but when I switch it to left or right, it doesn't pull any power through the left or right wires.
Any Help on what problem could be would be appreciated thank you!

1st of all, LED has low voltage readings anyways. 1st,check wires for a short, loose wire, or bad connection. 2nd, the contacts in your relay could be bad. try putting your stock one in (just to see if the lights illuminate) if they do, replace the relay. also, may be the diode...try the relay first.

EDIT: welcome to the 250 party

I don't have the stock one, would using one of the other relays on the bike work? there seems to be an Identical one to it.

Well, it would be pointless to buy one because you wont even be able to use it. try checking for loose wires, faulty grounds, wire connections etc. If you know anyone with a stock relay in your area, ask him/her if you could borrow for a quick sec. because of the low voltage, it will sense there is a problem and just illuminate the bulbs rather then properly flashing. thats all you want. if it does do that, you need to replace the relay. if you look on the relay, you should see a part number. if some store near you carries that relay, might as well buy one and try installing it. if the bulbs still dont flash, then its probably the diodes or a faulty wire(s) in the system.

So it has nothing to do with the turn signal switch? cause I get power to switch but not the left and right after I try to engage the signal. since the power goes through the relay first before going to the turn switch.
I also realized that when I try to engage the turn signals (doesn't matter left or right) the main wire with the power going into the turn switch shuts off. shouldn't that still have a constant power flow?
sorry about questions, trying to eliminate things. hate tracing wires lol

There's a good chance your relay isn't working right. Easy way to check if the lights work is to run some leads directly to the battery. If they light up, then the relay is the fault. I've had a few customers get their relays shorted out by riding in heavy rain or even washing their bikes.

If you have an autozone, pick up the Tridon EP34. It has 3 pins. Just run a grounding wire on Pin E. Take a 12" wire, put a female 14 or 18ga spade terminal on one end and a 1/4" ring terminal on the other end.

sorry, one last thing.
I noticed the relay you told me to grab was compatible with only 2 led.
I got front protons and back eliminator, wouldn't I need compatible with 4 led?

alright, so I was able to pick one up but now I'm having trouble finding the original. When I bought the bike the guy before me said he replaced it with a different one. but all I'm finding are the diodes and circuits for headlight and starter. where about is it exactly?

Here: Look at the rear footrest bracket. That little black box above it is the relay. most chances are that the one on your bike is not the OEM one because there is LEDs on the bike already. it may be ziptied there or around that area.

thx for the picture it helped a ton!
anyways, sure enough it was zipped on lol and it was one of those aftermarket round ones, ripped it off and took a nice gander at it. looked to me it was nice a blown up in the inside seemed like it was slightly cracked on side where water after a nice downpour could of gotten in. they make the tops of them out of horrible plastic lol.
well I replaced it and touched a ground from it to frame and sure enough it worked. so now I got to go finish hooking it up and take a nice stroll and be able to actually turn with people behind me without worrying lol. thx again guys for all the help!
Problem Solved!
