Leathers For Shorties......HELP!!!

Hi everyone. I am 5'2" and am having a difficult time finding riding pants that will fit properly. I'd like armored jeans or leather pants but all the ones I find are wayyyyy too long. Can someone tell me where to look? Thanks in advance!!!

Really, I figured girls would have an easier time finding gear. I was looking at getting a Tilt custom suit down the road, they sell 1 and 2 piece custom suits starting at $400.00, that may be an option for you. Other than that you may want to call Draggin Jeans, last time I went up to their store they had a few older pants in smaller sizes that were not listed on their website.

Bates but they are expensive. AGV will also do custom suits (1 and 2 piece) but I have no idea of the prices. You can't take an off the rack suit and have it adjusted because all of these are pre-bent at the joints for comfortable riding and of course for the armor placement and knee pucks. There are a few other custom places but I can't remember their names. Overall you are probably going to be looking at about $1000 for a 1 piece or 2 piece suit. If two piece make sure it zips together.

Also look at Heine Gehrik (spelled wrong, sorry) they may actually have some on the rack suits that will fit, I seem to recall that they had a full range of women's sizes in their gear. Might not be racing suits, but definitely in serious road protection.

There's always the least favorite option with Harley, but it is more like casual leather clothing and @ssless chaps that do nothing but protect from bugs. Probably better than nothing but certainly not what you really need, and well they suck for killing off the Buell line of cycles.

Thanks Greg! I'm not into racing...only street riding. $1,000 is wayyyy out of my price range. Wish it wasn't but it is! I will check on Heine Gehrik (or however you spell it) and see what they have to offer. Thanks for responding!!

AGV is probably going to be the cheapest and is probably worth the phone call. They may be able to alter and off the rack cheaper than a full custom suit. And for all I know they may even have something that will fit you.

You could always try http://www.leatherup.com because their leather pants can be cut. I purchased a couple of vests from them and a pair of chaps for a friend that are pretty heavy duty. The prices are affordable and it seems to be good quality leather.

Check Komodo out as well - I had the same problem where every pant that would fit my waist was 3 or 4" long. Komodo's stock size fit me perfectly (1" or so long when standing so they hang properly in a riding position out of the box - nice and inexpensive, but I was surprised at how well made the pants were.

I was just looking at the Hein Gericke site and was extremely disappointed that all the women's leather was fashion first and function last.

I took a look at Komodo and they are pretty much as expensive as all the rest and they certainly will not have an off the rack for her, didn't even have an off the rack that would fit me properly.

I'm 5'0" and wear joe rocket trixie leather pants which are on sale right now at bike bandit for $103.99. I have size M and normally wear size 4-6 pants. there a little big when wearing shorts underneath in the summer but i dont notice it when riding, never got too hot, and perfect with a pair of pants underneath on colder days. I don't find that they are long at all, but they do touch the ground when standing. I love them they are very comfortable and very affordable. here's link for bike bandit if you're interested. http://www.bikebandit.com/joe-rocket...s-trixie-pants

I'm 5'8"ish and I can't find riding pants that fit. Believe it or not, they are all too long for me too. And I consider myself on the lower end of average size.

The closest I have gotten is the small Scorpion pants... I had to modify them, and they still don't fit (too big). I have thought about even trying ladies' sizes, but I don't have those hips, and it would have to not have a hint of femininity in the design.

I was looking at some Cortech clothes tonight and noticed that the legs on the men's pants were relatively short for the waist size. Same with the sleeves on their jackets. I was just about set to buy an HRX series 2 set and a pair of gloves until I saw that the pants would be about 3 inches too short.

Does the jacket have zippers to joint to a set of pants?

Yes, it does...but all of Cortechs pants are too big. I know that it's FAR better to get matching sets, but because of my budget, I am having to get different pieces. My jacket came from Ebay and I am still looking for pants that won't be a mile too long. I am a real shorty!!!
