Pelican Case Backpack?
Hey guys,
Has anyone ever tried this?: http://www.pelicancases.com/U100-p/u100.htm ![]() ![]() It's a backpack from Pelican with a bascially indestructible laptop case built in. I wonder how comfortable (or uncomfortable) it would be on the bike? But I like the idea that if I were to crash, my computer would likely survive. Maybe this would be the better way to go? http://www.pelicancases.com/1095-p/1095.htm Shrug.

It seems uncomfortable having the laptop's protector directly against your back.

The laptop may survive in a crash, but what about your spine? Lol Looks interesting.

I think something that big would be killer on your back! I'd prefer a big tank bag personally. I've used the Icon backpack that magnets to the tank and then straps come out for a backpack. Unfortunately, it missed on both marks. Magnets aren't strong enough to keep it from sliding across the tank and as a backpack the straps are very thin and uncomfortable.
Currently, I usually just use my beat up old Jansport to go to and from work. I am looking at an Ogio. Maybe the wife will get me one for my birthday though.

I think a tail box is better since the weight is off your shoulders.
laptops are like 5-10lbs with accessories. then add the pack itself and other things, and it could weigh like 25lbs.

I have low sided with a backpack and the thing tends to slide behind your body pulling hard from your shoulders.
