Your 08 is Sunbeam red, it will have a slight orange tint to it in the right light. 2010 is Passion red and will definately look different and even more so in direct sunshine.

I used Krylon apple red for my track fairings and it's an ok'ish match. So you can take that OFF your list. You might want to buy a can of Krylon's red-orange and paint a swatch to see how close of a match it is.

For track, "close" is good enough for me and you have to look pretty hard in the pics to tell that it don't exactly match. Honestly though, nobody cares. Some stickers and such will distract from the color mismatch.

If you find a decent match, please update us so we all will know.

Good luck!

If it's the same red as our '01 this is apple red on the tank and front fairing

http://www.colorrite.com/product/1065-base-1178.cfm and http://www.colorrite.com/product/kaw...n-red-1567.cfm are listed as the colors for 2008.

http://www.bayarearidersforum.com/fo...d.php?t=264901 is a guide for getting professional results via spray cans rather than a gun, but it's way above "spray bomb" level stuff. I assume that's not really what you're looking for in this case, but it's more info if you want it.

Holly crap Bill! For a materials list that is $200+, might as well have it sprayed for a little bit more. :\ There is usually someone in every town that will do it pretty cheap, let them do the work for 2 big faces.
