Bike won't start ..

Today I went to start my bike .
The bike was on and everything I hit the start button but nothing. Then I I was moving the kickstand up and down and for some reason the bike start up.
Does the kick stand have anything to do with starting the bike.

The bike start up fine now..

There is a safety switch on the kick stand, if your in gear you nead the kick stand up and the clutch pulled to start.

Safety feature! They can make it more saferer by requiring the clutch-lever be squeezed as well...

According to the info in the link - it should start.

Because yours is a "1st Gen" it may not be exactly the same as the later "PreGen" configuration as listed.

How long have you owned the bike if its fairly new to you the old owner may have messed with it. Like my 250 (which i don't recommend doing) all the safeties are disconnected so it can be started, in gear no clutch and kick stand down. Like i said don't do it if its your street bike.
