When I was playing soccer in college a few years back the NCAA banned red bulls.

Generally I agree but there are circumstances where a sports drink is better than plain water. On very hot and humid days where a person is engaged in extreme physical activity such as running a marathon or spending ALL day at the track in 95+ degree heat with NO access to A/C or a way to stay cool. In those cases your body is losing potassium, sodium, ect... Then I am a firm believer in Gatoraide at full strength. Otherwise I always cut Gatoraide 50/50 with water. Straight Gatoraide is very high in sodium. So unless you are "sweating like a pig" it tends to be too much.
