250 to a 600 is alot of difference. Handling wise...250 is definitely alot better to ride, 600 is a little harder for me because of the stabilizer, i have to fight with it while turning, but other than that, i feel more safe on the 600 than the 250 if that even makes sense?! This is my opinion, may or may not make any sense. I only rode the 250 for 2300 miles then upgraded to the 600 and now i have 1100 miles on it.

From what I have heard that stabilizer has a real low viscosity oil in it. Maybe it's cranked to its stiffest setting. Shouldn't feel like you are fighting it.

I think the bigger tires and suspension make the bike feel more planted so maybe that's why the safer feeling.

I am considering getting a new (0 miles) 2011 zx6 at my local dealer, They offered to trade for 4 difference for my 2012 ninja 250 that just rolled over to 2000 miles. After seeing yours I may just have to go ahead and do it.

Its a BIG jump from a 250 to a 600. Alot of power, but its a great move! If the dealer is willing to pay off your loan(if you still owe on it) and NOT tack the difference on to the next loan...then DO IT!! Wish you luck buddy

Man, that is one gorgeous bike. How long did you have the 250R before trading it? I mean, time-wise, not mileage.

Doesn't answer my question. Within 6 months could be a time period of as little as a week for all I know.

I'm not sure how 6 months could be misconstrued as a week, but ok.

+1 even under the "highest" setting on the stock stabilizer it shouldn't be restricting you. The put low viscosity oil in it from the factory so people dont go out and crash because they couldnt turn. Its possible someone did an oil swap (very common if someone wants any real performance out of a stock stabilizer) or possible something else is wrong?

@CThunder-blue, it was a weak sarcastic remark by me to make up for the fact that I missed OP's post stating he sold the 250 within 6 months of owning it. I probably should've added a smiley to make sure it was understood as sarcasm, but oh well

@Gurk, lol

"Within 6 months..." Within being the key word, of course.
It could be a time period of 1 day to 180 days. lol Yes, it was an idiotic post on my part since it was misconstrued as being serious, but I can promise you it was sarcasm.
