I mostly lurk...
..and havent even done that since my '09 250 met an untimely end. But i thought i'd stop in now that im up and riding again. I stumbled across this at my local shop:
Its a leftover '08 zx-14. Quite the difference from the 250, but suprisingly easy to ride and comfortable. Not nealy the featherweight in the parking lot but still manageable. |

Cool bike. I've got a tank too, but I also still ride 250s. 100mph or 200mph I've got it covered.

heh... felt like that a few times. i remember seeing one review (i think it was a zx14 vs busa piece) saying that theres no way to realistically use the power of them on the street. i must admit that at least around where i live thats 100% true

From what I've seen on the road it appears the limit to how fast you can go on a ZX-14 (or a Hayabusa for that matter) varys with how much buffeting you can stand from your flip-flop sandals and wife-beater T-shirt. |

Thanks Flash!
@Greg: the day i picked her up, i stopped off for gas and a guy wearing shorts, one of those tshirts with the sides ripped open, moccasins and just sunglasses pulls up next to me on a red 07. We talked for a bit and he was complaining that he can only hit 190-ish on his so he wants to get rid of it. I asked him how often he did that and he said "on the way here." ... im waiting for the stain on the road... |

Hmm, someone should market some aerodynamic sandals and over starched wife beaters (pre wind blown for that race look).

Mine looks exactly like yours! Same year SE model! Installed a center stand frame sliders, spools, throttlemeister, DB, steering damper, Heli bars, xtra Corbin and backrest for my wife. HIDs and alarm in the works! This is a great touring bike as well. Still have my 250 and tour with that bike also. |
