Ughhhhh eBay Woes
I've rarely had a bad experience on eBay, but I've stumbled upon a rude and incompetent seller.
Bought an item, paid immediately through PayPal (the sellers only accepted form of payment) and then get an email the next day with something along the lines of "Y U NO PAY YET, BUY IT NAO MEANS BUY IT NAO PAY ME TODAY." So I go through my inbox, see all my receipts from both eBay and PayPal stating that I've sent the payment, yet the payment is listed as "unclaimed" on the PayPal website, meaning that the seller hasn't accepted it. I relay this information to the seller with the procedure on how to complete the transaction through PayPal (their payment email was listed as "Unregistered" on PayPal and they require that email to be registered with PayPal in order to accept funds) and I get an email that only says "Scammer!" How would I ****ing scam you if I sent payment to the email address that was associated to your eBay seller ID and that was processed through the eBay checkout system? I'm also trying to help you as much as I can in a professional manner by scouring PayPal and their FAQs. No, I will not re-send the payment as I have done all that I can on my end. Well, the seller has threatened to open up a "buy not paid" case against me and all I can do is facepalm. Sometimes I hate people, even though I try to help them. |

I may just have been scammed too. Found an "almost too good" deal and won the bidding. the price on the item was low but the seller only had 1 rating and 3 months on ebay. Stupidly I bid upto $100 and no one outbid me so I won.
The listing had a stock photo of the item and a OEM description, all easily copy pasted from google. So I looked closer at the seller history to see the guy had 3 sales, but ony 1 left a positive feedback,1 neutal and 1 with no feedback at all. I contacted the guy who left no feedback at all because this seemed weird because this was actually the oldest of the 3 sales. Well the guy said to stay away from the seller because he never received the item. The item was supposedly in New Jersey. After about a week of messaging this guy and receiving no replies, he finally "shipped" the item, but I'm doubtful because tracking shows the shipment originated in Tennesee, while the item listing states Jersey, the item does infact have a destination in my city though. To this day there has been no contact from the seller, but ebay messages me saying that the item listing has been removed (weird, since it's too late to help any one from being scammed) due to infringment of this or that. So now I can't message the seller directly about this item. tracking shows the item should arrive today, I'm hopeful it's in working order. Either way I'm fairly certain I can get my money back either though ebay or my card, who I have already contacted, except they won't get back the ebay bucks I used, but it was only like $5 out of the total $100

When I log into PayPal, there is a "cancel" button if the seller doesn't register their email account with PayPal. I have been thinking about just contacting eBay, explain the situation, and cancel the payment and just start over on the buying process with a reputable seller. I had made the mistake on buying from this seller with 51 feedback who is obviously clueless to PayPal.

Matter or fact, the seller is no longer registered on eBay, great.

I can tell you like memes.
BTW, you can open a case through eBay as well. You guys may just need to cancel the transaction. |

I can't cancel anything, it already went through. I need to file a claim through ebay, but I need to get the item first, or if I don't get it they want me to wait 10 days after the expected delivery date.

I'm really tempted to just cancel the PayPal payment and report the situation to eBay but I really don't want any negative feedback on my account.

do a "report suspicious listing", tell them the seller is trying to have you pay AGAIN (which in a way he is) they will remove the listing and there will be no way for him to leave feedback

because I needed to upgrade, but if I sell this and get 150% of what I paid for it, im sure I can get an even better upgrade card, or even get a deal on a 6850 which which I originally wanted and pocket a little cash for school

Teh grafixxxxxxxxxx.
I just emailed the seller requesting to cancel my purchase, I expect an impolite "F U" as a response. I try to help the seller any way I can and all I get is "WHAR MY MONIES AT" when it's sitting in the hands of PayPal waiting to be picked up. The "cancel" button is still available on PayPal, I'm so tempted to cancel it now but I guess I'll have to wait for the OK from the seller. |
