So, When Do I Put On the Battery Tender ?

Hi guys, I am just about to put my bike away for the winter. Question is, when do I put on the battery tender ? At the begining of the winter ? Halfway through ? I have no idea, this is my first bike. What do you guys think ??

The tender takes so little power to keep your bike's battery charged that you can do it as soon as now. I alternated mine last winter between my bike and my lawn tractor, but I did ride my bike quite a bit in the winter.

Since the bike is going to be put up for the winter I would put the battery tender on as soon as possible and that way you are done.

Well I do not plan on riding it at all. I live outside of Chicago. I am going to get an oil change for the bike on Saturday so I am going to ask my mechanic what he thinks...

Mine gets plugged in everytime the bike is in the garage.

It's made so you can leave it on all the time.

If you are not going to ride for over a week put it on charge and leave it on, this is good for the battery especially if it’s in a none heated garage where you can have minus temperatures.
