ONCE AGAIN the new World Champion won at Magny-Cours in race two making it his fifth double win of the season after a three-rider battled. Rea was joined at the frony by team-mate Tom Sykes and Ducati’s Chaz Davies who stuck with him until the end of the 21-laps, but unfortunately couldn’t curtail the new Champ. The Isle of Man resident now has 22 podium positions to his name putting him equal with Troy Bayliss and placing him second in the highest number of podiums in one season of all time. Although the 2015 Champion has already been decided, the fight for the runner-up spot is till up for grabs and will continue at the season finale under floodlights in Qatar in a fortnight. Behind the top three, Leon Haslam and Michael van der Mark had their own private duel with the Dutchman taking fourth with a few laps to go from his English rival. Sylvain Guintoli put in another good performance at his home race to finish sixth in dry conditions as Niccolo Canepa finished in seventh after battling with Jordi Torres. Voltcom Crescent Suzuki’s Alex Lowes rounded out the top ten whilst his team-mate Randy de Puniet finished down in 17th. Race results: 1. Jonathan Rea GBR Kawasaki Racing 2.
