here is the update!

got a dozen eggs! uh, i mean huggers

book for size ref, lol

spent the afternoon picking these up. managed to get 12.... they were supposed to keep all 15 for me, but they started to sell them off to ppl that were just buying single pieces. Grrrr....

they are waiting on the next box with 15 more... and then there will be 3 more to wait since they yoinked 3 out of this box, sigh~

basically we can send 15 in a box (original box from the factory comes with 15). which leads me to think that ill only do 30 pcs for this 1st GB. otherwise we will have extras that dont fit in the box.

sry but you guys gotta hang in for a while still till they deliver the next box + 3!

At the moment, just keep an eye on this forum. It looks like this is going to be a slow process based off how long its taking the dealer to get the buggers. I will probably get with the the people doing the first GB and see how they'd like to handle a second one and start a second thread to simplify matters for everyone... So just for now, adding yourself to the second group buy list is all that needs to be done atm.

speed is definitely not on their priority list, lmao... i believe that they concentrate more on the essentials spare parts that they need on an every day basis for the scooters (scooters make up at least 80% of the bikes here). it took almost 2 months for me to get just one headlamp set from the Byson (also yamaha, same bike even)... let alone 30 pieces of the same thing. i did say in the beginning that it could/would take some time. i was just hoping that it would be faster since its only a 1 piece component, unlike the headlamp, which consisted of about 10 separate items.

at least they are cheap, and the bike still runs without it, rofl!

ill work on getting the shipping price for these 2 boxes this week, i got the address already, thanks Coung.

I'll most likely start with the first list and contact the 30 people. For anyone on that list who no longer wants the hugger, I'll just move down the second list. Also, anyone who doesn't contact me back on the first list after I receive the huggers will have a 30 day grace period before I move on and sell their hugger. Seems the fairest method.

well i was not expecting to see the price for the ocean freight to be this crazy.

just got this quote in from a cargo company that we use all the time.

Below is break down door to door ex Bali to San Diego CA9210 :

a LOT of that are costs on your end to get clerance, and delivered to your the house. (Door to Door). above line is from bali to SD port, the rest is from SD port to Coungs door step

(so that is basically out of the question).

i have asked them if they can give me a price just Port to Port, to see what the difference would be, but that would require Coung to go and pick up the package, process the clearance etc. however they did not answer after we were hit by the earthquake today. i hope they are ok...

alternatively, if i were to DHL it, the price would be $940, which would come out at $30 per person (counting 31 people since there are 30 huggers and one additional air scoop that ill put in the package, but it wont change the size/price).

ill update once i hear back from the cargo company for a port to port price.
