Sorry for the late update today guys, we are doing a little construction in our new office and it's taking up all of our time.

I now have 11 orders and would like start our end of the order process on Monday to try and get this stuff to you guys as soon as possible. The deal will still go on, but try and sign up before monday if you can!

We still need a so cal customer to buy so we can install it on your bike and make a DIY video. Send me a PM if your interested.

I hope RaceTech knows how to set these cause I'm a keep it simple plug and play kind of guy these days. There's been way too many past projects that have gotten way too complex, and have taken up way too much time! lol.

I've tried to put my order in but somehow pay pal is not working.

Racetech is there anyway you can fix this. I think it's something to do with the postal code. Check your email I sent you the error message that I'm getting. Thanks

Anyone having problems with paypal, please PM me the email address you have tied to your pay pal account and I will send you an invoice to get around these problems that you are having.

I didn't originally calculate in the PayPal service charge in the package price and can't really afford to set everyone up with a paypal invoice.

The reason I wanted everyone to buy through the website (forgetting about paypal) is so I can use the built in shipping and invoice system. I'm sorry if this is inconvenient for any of you guys but this is my first group buy and I am still learning...

OMG I may want to do this...I live in San Diego but my wiring harness has been stripped. I have a Veypor Trail Tech gauge and would much rather have the Koso gauges.

I may need to take a picture of my bike to see if its possible to still mount up. I have the fairing stay only but plastic that surrounds and holds gauges is gone.

I also noticed this group buy made it to reddit, so you probably got even more purchases that way.

I would like the fact that the prepaid people get their commitment honored, like you said.

Is there a price without the PnP kit? I wouldn't be able to PnP on the pregen. Is there anything I'd have to buy if I didn't get the PnP kit? In particular, I need the speedometer that doesn't rely on the mechanical speed sensor and I imagine that the magnet and parts are part of the PnP kit.

I don't mean to hijack, but I'd like to organize a group buy on another part soon. I'm not really familiar with how Reddit works and I don't have an account there. Would I just cross-post the group buy and point people here? I just want the same cheap part as everyone else and would really just be organizing it so that I could participate in it, but do they frown on any appearance of commercially-motivated Reddit posts and expect it to be brought to their community by a neutral third party?

The speed sensor and bracket are included with the gauge itself. Did you find out on your own that the PnP harness won't work for the pre-gen? I only ask because I asked Koso and they said it would work for all ninja 250s.

Please let me know what you found out so I can update this thread if I have to.

The wiring harness on my carb EX250F is different from my carb EX250J. The gauge connectors have a very different number and arrangement of pins. While I am sure it can be spliced in, the pregen has a temp gauge and no fuel gauge, so it might have more in common with the FI PnP kit. In other words, the FI EX250K PnP kit might be PnP with the EX250F, but the carb EX250J PnP kit is not.

EX250F = Carb previous-gen/pregen
EX250J = Carb current-gen/newgen
EX250K = FI current-gen/newgen

If you find out that it works, it might be easier to switch those buyers to the EX250K PnP kit (the FI one). This is what the gauge back and connectors looks like:

I never thought you suggested it worked PnP with the pregen and always considered that I'd be doing an install the hard way should I decide to get one. I'd be surprised if anyone ordered it for a pregen. :P I'm still strongly considering ordering one because I have no meter gear and, thus, no speedometer with my setup. I had planned to resell my carbed EX250J PnP kit if forced to buy it but, if you want, I could alternatively order it with the FI PnP kit to see if it plugs and plays with the carb pregen.

Is anyone with a newgen FI bike (EX250K) able to see if their connectors match mine?

Here are the wires and connectors from a 2008 carb EX250J gauge. If the FI EX250K has connectors more like the carb EX250F, perhaps it is PnP. Functionally (not cosmetically), it does have a bit more in common with the carb EX250F (temp gauge and no fuel level).

OK. I'm in. Order placed, though I really can't afford it right now.

I selected the carb 250 PnP harness because I also have a newgen that I might end up putting this on if things don't go so well with the pregen. That said, I am curious to know if the FI PnP harness will fit the carb pregen and would be glad to test that if desired and swap it if it doesn't fit. If I am the only pregen buyer, I do not expect an exception for the wiring harness requirement/cost.

We currently have someone picked out for our install, but i am keeping a running list of interested parties in case anyone backs out. I'll be posting a big update later today after I place my final order with Koso.
