Oil level sight glass
Hey all,
Noticed that the bike I bought is leaking oil around the round oil level sight glass. Is there a gasket that might need to be replaced or tightened?? How is this thing removed? Thanks |

for the most part, yes. what, specifically, is it that you're asking about?
the engine lower cases are pretty much a carry over from the pregens. |

Bike was in an accident. Oil sight glass leaks. Not too sure if it is the clutch cover that is bent (has some scratches on it) or it the sight glass is bad (no cracks at all). Wondering how to remove the sight glass. IF the info in the links is applicable then maybe the sight glass popped out of it seat and is leaking a little bit

to confirm, check the part numbers of that sight glass on any site that sells OEM parts and see if the part numbers are the same between gens. I pretty sure you'll find they are.

The sight glass has a gasket, but I believe it comes as one piece. Best way to get it out is to use a box blade and gently pry it out.
