We were just watching a video a couple of days ago about disease (mainly AIDS) in Africa which included a part about the people who deliver the crucial medical supplies via motorcycle.
It's pretty awesome stuff, something that is actually making a big difference, even if it's just one small community at a time.

My sister does a "Doctors Without Borders" gig in Kenya every year. She gets around on a bike. The roads there are worse than in Maine.
