Mysterious Leathers

Anyone have any experience with them? An acquaintance of mine purchased a one piece suit from them recently and I was very impressed by the way it came out.

The cost is very friendly, with most of their suits running in the $400 range, I was thoroughly impressed with the ability to submit a full list of your body measurements for them to completely customize a suit to fit your body perfectly.

She got her own custom fitted suit, custom colors, CE armor in her shins, knees, and shoulders, a speed hump, stretch panels, knee pucks etc for like $450 and she received it within a few days of her order (as in, not even ONE week later).

She went home and wore the suit back just to show me, and I thought it was amazing! The stitching didn't quite seem as durable as my Sedici one piece suit, as I have triple stitching in the places where she only had double stitching but other than that, I thought her suit rocked! She could actually walk around in hers comfortably, where as mine is a total monkey suit hardly usable off the bike.

Here's the link to their site: http://www.mysteriousleathers.com/

and the link to their specific tailored suits is here: http://www.mysteriousleathers.com/pa...ther-Suit.html

Thinking about getting a two piece from them for general use if they fit so comfy like hers. I already have the Sedici for track use.

"1.1-1.2 mm"... does that seem right to you?

@alex.s where did you see that? The suit I was looking at says 1.2-1.4mm leather which is the same as my Sedici.

Lol, that actually made me laugh when I saw it too. Point taken, in all honesty I would not want to wear one of these suits on say, a track day.

However for general use around town it might be an option for those looking for an inexpensive set who are still wearing jeans, flip flops, and a t-shirt.

I'll keep in touch with her and keep tabs on her suit's condition. I might consider buying one after Christmas or something if it's not falling apart on her.

Deals like these on the internet are not uncommon. The leather most likely come from a mass producer out of Pakistan were a lot of the leather products all over the world are produced. One of the guys in our mini GP organization has been working with a producer over there to improve the quality of the suits he gets for us. The earlier ones didn't hold up after a few "incidents". Now with upgraded padding and reinforced stress areas we get a pretty decent suit for the money. I would expect a fairly decent entry level suit from this advertisement.

Could you keep us updated on how your acquaintance's suit holds up, and the quality of the suit if you get one? I've been looking for a track suit, and haven't seen much outside of Alpinstars and Dainese. Obviously quality is a major concern, though price is playing a bit of a factor, too.

Sure thing, I'll post back the next time I see her. That was the first time I ran into her in a good 2 months though, so it may be a while before I see her again, I might have already bought my own by this point in which case I'll let you know about my experience with it!
