Ninja 250 fork bottom
Anyone knows what is the true bottom of our bike's fork (08 ninja 250)...how many millimeters will the fork travel before it bottoms out or how to measure it? Thanks.

Stock shocks have about 4.5-4.7 inches of travel. If you find you're bottoming out your shocks under normal riding conditions, first check your forks to make sure you have no leaks and your fork oil levels to make sure they are at spec. If those are OK, then it may be possible your springs may need replacing. Spring length has to be checked with the springs out.

Says 4.7 inches of travel. Extend the forks out, mark them at 4.7 inches. Put a small cable tie on one fork leg. After a ride, see how close the cable tie is to your 4.7 mark.
I guess you could take the spring out of a leg, compress it and see where it stops? |

So it's around 4.5 inches? Thanks.
Kerry: I took the spring out last time to install the Ricor Intiminator..I believe the fork compresses all the way down (If I remember correctly). Quote:
