08 Ninja 250 Alarm System

Has anyone installed an alarm in their ex250-j yet? I was looking at the Scorpio SR-i800S and it seems like a good system. I've been installing car audio and security systems for 17 years but never thought I would need to put one on my bike until last weekend when I had it parked in a residential area of downtown Campbell last Saturday night. I woke up around 1am to a group of drunk guys outside, I looked out and didn't see them near my bike, but in the morning I had cigarette ashes all over my gauge cluster, gas tank and seat, mirrors were re-adjusted along with greasy handprints on the bike, and it was in second gear. I've stayed at this place quite a few times and have never had a problem with people messing with my bike until now. I'm tempted to put one of my car alarms in there but they just aren't compact enough so I wanted to get some input on here regarding motorcycle alarm systems. thanks!

Wouldn't upsetting those guys next Saturday be rude? .......they could sue you !!!

There are brake disc locks that combine an alarm for about $100.

An alternative for less money:

Check out the DIY sticky thread at the top of the 2008+ Tech Section; there are a few alarm installs in there.
