Barnett clutch springs...don't fit.

Ordered a set of Barnett clutch springs for the 09, pn 501-45-1167. Won't work, I get instant coil bind, can't even pull the clutch one quarter of the way. Called Barnett got spring free length specs, inner and outer diameter, and it all checks out.
Them "Well they should work"
Me "Well they don't"
Them "Well, sorry about that"
Anyone have any similar experience?

If all the spring's dimensions match, it is possible that you installed more discs by mistake?

This happen to me also. I called Barnett. And told them what I had and needed. They sent me springs like you describe. I got another set with my disc form Niche cycles and they worked. There must be a wrong number in Barnett s system.

I would agree, they effed it up. The dimensions for the pre-gen springs are a bit shorter, but it's thicker wire so it'd probably do the same thing.

I had some issues with my Barnett clutch springs. I reinstalled them and the problems went away for some reason.

I think that is a good set up. I need a spring pressure tool.
