New shift lever? help

Ok so the little rubber thing that covers the end of the shift lever has slowly cracked and now is completely gone. Anyone know how to get another one?? or a simple fix it yourself suggestion?

You can use some rubber hose or get one from a dealer.

Idk going to a stealership seems like a waste of money. Is it possible to get just the rubber thing? if so how can you put it back on, will it just slide on?

92161-1300 DAMPER,CHANGE LEVER $2.48 @ Ron Ayers
$6.00 @ Cheap Cycle Parts
I paid $4.00 @ my dealer.

The are tight but slide right on with a very light lube. Rubber hose is the same way.,

Awesome, thanks. Just curious, is there a manual, or diagram that has all the different parts and part #'s?

I replaced mine not to long ago and it was hell getting it on. Very, very tight fit. I would suggest a dab of dish soap.

I use a rubber protectant (armorall) on rubber parts when I want them to slip back on with minimum hassle. Any type of lube helps tremendously.

Be careful not to put too much lube on the shaft. You don't want the rubber to come off.
