how long do brake pads generally last for

I've had mine for over 10500 kms....not sure if i should switch them out...EBC pads maybe? I've looked at them, but all i can see is the grey pad area and i cant tell whether they are worn out or not...the bike brakes alright, and braking seems pretty responsive, how will i know when they are worn out?

the service limit on the stock pads is 1mm, i think that line down the center is a good mark, when there is no noticeable line then replace.

Click here for my full posts on brake pads That should answer a LOT of questions for you, including a nice picture of the wear limit indicators on the stock pads.
