slip on exhaust?

First post!!! anyways i got a 2010 250 and it is very quiet with the stock exhaust. i dont really mind but in terms of safety and preference id like to put on a slip on exhaust that will make it louder so others can actually hear me on the road and sound better. The only thing i am worried about is that i heard when you switch it out the stock one is a lot heavier so when you lose that weight on the side it can sometimes be very off putting when leaning. has anyone experienced this? and do you have any suggestions on a budget slip on that isnt a piece of garbage?

The muffler weight is only one one side, there is nothing to balance it on the other side. What you were told is silly. If any muffler were to affect the handing based on weight, it would be the stock part, which is very heavy. Aftermarket mufflers are lighter, the less weight on the bike the better.

A slip on will give you noise, but no substantial power increase.

The people that you want to notice you are in front of you. Loud exhaust pipes project their noise behind you. Do I need to elaborate more?

I lane split daily on my commute to work. People in front do notice me due to my exhaust however not always. It's louder from behind, but the good thing is I can rev and the cars in front will hear and give me space to pass. The lack of weight causing the bike to be unbalance is BS.

I bought my two-fiddy used with on installed on it. It is not too loud but gives a throaty rumble at low revs that increases in pitch as you crank it up. If you want it louder than you can remove the baffle, but, I like it the way it is.
