bikebandit.com cheapcycleparts.com etc...
search the OEM parts, select your make, model year, and model, then go to the tools and accessories category. Find the model number of the tool from the diagram and order it. They're usually cheaper than buying it from kawasaki for new oem parts. |

thanks!
Just to be sure for the valve adjustment, the tool would be the tappet adjustment wrench set correct? Im sort of new to working on the engine of my bike. I know the procedure but want to be 100% sure on which tool to buy |

I have done the valves twice now on two different Ninjas. I can say for a fact that you don't need this tool. The only valves that need special treatment are the exhaust ones in the front. You need a SHORT 9mm socket with a SHORT extension to get it. And to get it in there, you have to move the crank a little to open up the space so it will fit. After its in there, the thinner extension doesn't take up as much room and you can move the crank back. Also, to do this properly, you need a helper to hold the crank on the mark for cylinder 1 (its under spring tension from the cams). Cylinder 2 will stay on its mark on its own. |
