Engine mounting bolts strength grade?

After valve adjustment I noticed that the replacement bolt I used with Shogun frame sliders (front engine mounting bolt) is bent. I removed the sliders and returned the stock bolt for now.

Has anyone experienced similar problems? My replacement bolt had no strength grade and I don't want to replace it with another one with no strength guarantee. I have not found any strength grading on stock bolt, but it looks very solid. I'd like to find something similar. Any ideas about strength of the stock bolts?

Grade 8 is a really strong bolt. It's going to be really hard to get that, even 8.8 is hard to find here, and it's almost impossible to work on. I'll figure something out I guess.

Thanks!

Edit: If anyone has any idea where to get 10.9 M10 that long online please let me know.

If you are talking About the four bolts that hold the
frount to the frame. There is very little stress there.

I'm talking about the bolt that holds the engine with the pieces you mentioned. One of three bolts that keep the engine in place.

He's talking about the upper front bolt that the sliders bolt into. It's a super long bolt that slides through the frame from one end, through the engine case, and back out the other side of the frame.

When I first bought my bike, it had a frame slider that had a pretty nice long bolt. When I got the shogun kit, I noticed the bolt looked pretty weak so I reused the bolt from the old kit.

If you know the length of the bolt, you can try finding it on http://www.fastenal.com/web/search/p...%20Screws%22|~

You may end up needing to get some threaded rod and have a nut welded onto one end to make your own "bolt". Any idea how long it would need to be? I've gotten two frame slider kits for my Hawk 650's that have had the bolt made this way.

Front mounting bolt should be approx 245 mm and rear 160 mm, for shogun sliders. 30mm of thread should be more than enough.

I'm sorry I haven't seen your post earlier

I have made my bolt, but it was of low quality steel and I noticed that the bolt was bent after dissasembly. That's why I asked about bolt grade.
