Question about Jackets

Hey guys, I have a question about jackets.

I currently own this jacket:
Scorpion Tornado

The collar on this jacket seems to dig into my neck so when I am riding if I turn my head to the left or to the right the collar scratches and digs into my neck\bottom of my chin. Is this a common problem with jackets with big collars cause I have noticed jackets that have no collar what so ever. Or is this because I simply have a jacket that doesn't fit? The jacket fits perfectly around my entire body with or without the liner it's just the collar that gives me problems.

Thanks for the input

Yea collars on some jackets can be a pain in the ass. I had to try on a ton of jackets before I could find one that didn't jab me in the neck when I got into the crouched ninjette position. You can try to modify the collar, live with it, or get a new jacket

Same, I returned my first jacket for that reason. I now just use collarless jackets

How can you modify the collar? Cut it and duck tape it? haha

But seriously I got this as a gift and don't want to trash $220 ya know, so anyone that has modded a jacket to fix the collar issue please let me know what you did.

And also, I am considering getting a full leather jacket, just basic black and white or black. Is a textile jacket with Pads (shoulder and elbows and back) more protective then a leather jacket without pads or not?

I have the same issue with my Shift Avenger. After the two days I spent at MSF it looked like I tried to hang myself because of the raw red line around my neck where the collar was rubbing.
