Planning to start building Franken-Bike
I have chance to lay my hand on an about 40% complete 2007 EX650 for $800, of which I am only interested in the engine. See pics below...
Keep in mind that everything is "as is" in the pics. There are no spare parts laying around. Show here's a chance for my fellow Ninjetter's to help with the build. Every step will involve a poll. I hope all this goes as well as I plan.

I don't know too much about frankensteining a motorcycle but 800 dollars sound too much. especially since the engine is missing parts. I say pass and be patient for a better engine.

Gotta agree with the others; too much money for a parts bike. Be patient and much better deals will present themselves for your project. Good luck!

I would pass or get a better price. What ever you buy. Make sure it has a good title.

I have to agree with this. You can find a much better starting point for a project than this bike.
If all you want is the motor, then look for a complete motor to buy for $800 (or less). You'll spend a fortune replacing all the missing parts on this motor |
