Dunno yet. I filled up. Drove 156 miles. Still have gas left
Going from 55mph crossing into small towns that dropped to 30mph , it was a bit helpful. Gave my thumb a chance to relax. Dunno why my right thumb cramps on long cruises.

sounds like you need to use your fingers more when holding the throttle, and relax too.

I was thinking my grip was too tight. It was windy but I remind myself to stay loose on the grips. I think it's the position of my wrist on the throttle to maintain a constant 65-70mph speed.

Lol at all the destruction of my engine replies. Is it really going to hurt? Isn't it just adding fuel ?
I didn't intend to ride a 10 mile parade like this. Just a moment or two of hands free riding

Everything in moderation. A minute or two won't make any long-term difference. But longer-term running rich like that can cause accelerated engine wear, as too much fuel will thin the oil. Once that happens, even if you run with the choke off as advised for the rest of the life of that oil, there will continue to be higher wear rates.

As others have stated it's a bad idea; wastes fuel, dilutes lubrication. If you need to relax your throttle hand on long rides I would suggest changing the grip by using different fingers occasionally and for a complete rest using a throttle-holding device. There are various commercial clamp and resistance types you could buy but I find the best one is one I made myself by out of heavy gauge wire. Get a piece of heavy gauge solid core insulated wire about 1 foot long. center it on the inner edge of the throttle then twist the 2 tails tightly so that it forms a stiff coil extending from the throttle past the front brake lever. It should be wound tightly enough that that it will hold the throttle open when rotated forward to rest on the brake lever. To disengage, just roll the throttle forward. Simplicity itself!

Or if you feel like spending money on what @greenaero just described, that would be this thingy: http://www.2wheelride.com/throttle_pro.html

Yesterday was a 156 mile trip trip to letchowrth. Soo I found out a lot of things I don't like. Mainly the seat. Had to keep checking to make sure it wasn't made of granite. The other things were how high the bike stays in rpms Makes me think I'm destroying the motor / oil. But other than that. It was a great day to ride. Those small 30mph towns we pass through was a good break to relax and flip up the visor
