Function trumps vanity. BMW puts some fantastic lighting on their bikes, but that doesn't keep it from looking awkward on some bikes. Check out the front of the R1200ST for a damning example.

The headlights are amazing. I need to adjust the low beam but the high beam, goddamn, it lights everything up.

And actually I like the headlight on this bike

Have you looked into a bigger windshield yet? That one doesn't look bad for a sport bike, but if I got one of these babies, I would want it to be a ST; you think you'll be able to improve wind protection?

Nice bike Jiggs. I see some ballistic missile, nap-of-the-earth runs in your future. Cal to Utah in a day would be perfect for that bike.

Careful, you almost fooled Unregistered.

Yes.

That's exactly what a quick-shifter is. It senses pressure on the shift lever, and cuts power/revs to the engine automatically for a fraction of a second to better allow the gearbox to shift up without needing to disengage the clutch.

Wait where did I come into this at?

Congrats, Jiggs. I have to say that the sportier BMW's are growing on me. And you're right, white was the right choice in color.

I'm thinking if I ever get a bike with over 100hp, a BMW will be my choice.
