My last name is BROESKY. What does it mean?

Edit: Nevermind, kept seen my name every where on the thread, i figured it out.

Lots of times i wave to riders and most of them don't wave back, especially the cruiser guys. I got in a habbit of not waving till the other rider waves to me first, that way i know he's interested in waving. But maybe the other rider is doing the same thing and waiting for me to wave first. And than we pass each other and don't wave anyway becuase we were both waiting for each other to make that first wave.

Trugracie here!!!!!!!
Just now saw this thread, and about spit water all over my laptop! lol
To be honest just this Monday was my first day taking the bike to work and being on the highway. the first time I did the "wave" was to a guy on a sweet Triumph Triple Street. Of course being a newb, did the dorky hand up in the air at 60pmh.
Yeah, felt like I got punched inside the shoulder making me swerve all over the lane!

+1, this post definitely caught my eye! New user here, haha. I will say though, that I do try to wave most of the time! I've gotten quite a few waves back / waves initiated by others. Still learning so I have to try to release my death grip on the bars.

I don't know if this has been addressed on this thread or not....

How do folks in Aussie, the UK, HK & other countries where they drive on the left side of the road do it? They would have to let go of the throttle and/or brake lever to wave. Do they just not wave at one another? Or stick out right leg instead?

Any rider in those countries care to comment?

In the UK, we nod at each other. Typically, when thanking somebody (for instance for moving over to allow somebody through that's filtering quickly), we stick out a leg.

^^^ Yep what he said, in the UK we nod, often a slight angular nod as one does when winking.
The first weekend of spring weather is a real neck ache job where hundreds of us pour onto the roads for the start of the season

I am seriously picturing someone riding down the motorway with a bobblehead mounted on the handlebar to "nod" to everyone!

I sympathize, riding along a road and meeting a pack of 20-30 riders, I just end up leaving my hand stuck out there in a lazy peace sign for like five minutes.

If we nodded, waved , held hands, asked to swap phone numbers, hugged, kissed every rider we'd never get anywhere.

Far too many bikes on the road to worry about what anyone else is doing.

Sometimes I wave sometimes not. If they don't wave back, maybe they didn't see me, maybe they wanted both hands down, maybe they had a bad day, maybe they're on a Hardley.

I find it that cruiser "cool looking" riders love ignoring you. Some are nice and wave...some are grumpy and don't care. Every sportsbike rider seems to wave, however.
