Central Massachusetts, hello!

I rebuilt a 2010 Ninja 250R last year and fell in love with the bike. After I sold it, I told myself I would buy a second gen ninja again preferably without a salvage title. And that's what I just did. I've been riding for 14 years and finally got over the stigma of small bikes, I'll ride what I like. my first bike was an sv650 when I was 23 and they only got bigger and faster, took me awhile to get to the 250's but here I am!

Welcome!

Bigger is not necessarily better. Light weight, competent handlers are certainly a blast, both user friendly for new folk while quite capable in more experienced hands.

And the old standard does apply... more fun to ride a "slow" bike fast, than a fast bike slow.

Greetings and Salutations!!!

I used to live in Cambridge!

Glad you upgraded to 250! So much fun! Over past couple years, i’ve been taking my CBR600RR to racetrack less and less because Ninja 250 is so much more fun! I can pass tonnes of people under braking and in corners!

Come on out to Palmer Motorsports Park in Ware when we're running track days and say hi.

A number of Ninjette members will be there August 4-5.... including @csmith12, @Koala, @Ducati999, probably @Bigballsofpaint, probably @backinthesaddleagain and of course yours truly.

I HIGHLY recommend Tony's Track Days. Really well run outfit that attracts responsible, safety-conscious riders. Very different from the Wild West crew that some other organizations cater to.

If you're the guy who just wants to brrraaaapppp and SEND IT, yo, maybe TTD is not for you. If you want to actually learn to be a better rider, it definitely is.

Palmer is flat-out awesome....

Check the Northeast Track Day thread:

Welcome @Vtwin1981. I also live in Worcester county about 25 mins from Palmer, would your town start with an "S" and end in "Bridge"? as mine does? We are really close to each other, the Palmer track and also the Thompson track. Feel free to Private message me if you ever want to go for a ride to either track or just ride around the "Bridge". I have a 2012 250 and a couple of Ducatis along with access to a few "curvy" SV650's. Welocme

14yrs aye.....

If you have never been to the track, please come. If not to ride, at least to hang out with a bunch of cool riders who love bikes, tell great stories and truly love what they do.

Don't make me post pics, I got a million of the gang in question above. Come for the fun, stay for the food!

@Vtwin1981 definitely get yourself over to Palmer, it would be great to meet you if you come out in August! This is a great group of people to have fun with. It was meeting several of them a few years ago at Mid Ohio that put the track bug in my brain and set the ball rolling for my first track days this year.

Welcome!

The assumption that bigger is better makes me a little crazy. People always say "don't worry about riding a little bike, you'll get a bigger one soon." I don't want a bigger bike! I am quite content with my little bike. After a day in the canyons, let's see who's tired, you know?
