Parking Lot Accident
So I left my bike in my friends apartment complex parking lot the other day, someone didn't enjoy it being there I guess and ran into it and knocked it over and drove off without leaving info......
Both turn signals are broken into the fairings, and the rear fairing is broken... 500 deductible down the drain, it sucks |

Sorry to hear about that. That is my biggest fear when I leave my bike parked somewhere that I will come back and find it knocked over.

Oh wow. Yeah you are right, Kawi green is the brightest color you can get. Dang that sucks. I am constantly ticked at people who just dont care for others' belongings. Seriously... we work hard to have nice stuff and we work hard at keeping them nice then all of a sudden some a$$holes screws it up.

Rick, I don`t know how it is down your way, but I rarely use parking lots. We have lots of bicycle racks here in Maine. I usually pull up to one--on the end so that I don`t interfere with bicycles, wrap the cable lock around, and leave. Only had one store owner chide me in two years. I think in this case, it was easier to apologize than to ask for permission. Travis, You have my sypathy--that`s really a bad thing.

Sorry about that. You would think people who get into an accident and damage someone else's property would behave better, like leave some contact info or look for you.
Was it in a parking space? Maybe they pulled in and didn't see it till it was too late, maybe they knocked it or pushed it over on purpose because you were taking up a space. And you wonder why they took off without leaving a note? Both turn signals are broken into the fairings? You mean both on the same side the bike fell on, or both fronts? That's the big problem with these sport bikes, knocking over or falling over, the turn signals break off, (that's OK), but usually crack the fairings too, and that's big money if they can't be fixed. Kawasaki should have put frame sliders on all these bikes to protect them a little, but I guess they're in the business of selling parts to replace those that break. Too bad there's no way to put an engine guard type thing on these bikes like on a cruiser - different kind of bike. Also when they fall over, gas spills out of the tank, carbs can get flooded, can be a bigger problem to have to deal with. Again sorry. Whereabouts are you in Tallahassee? I'm 30-40 miles due south in Shell Point. |

The person that knocked it over probably felt something when it hit but when you look around without getting out of the vehicle and see nothing cause the bike was on the ground they probably figured it was their imagination and didn't think twice about it. Or they were scared of getting caught and fled. I know my dad has backed up into my old car more than once because he didnt see it when backing up with his pickup and he knew i parked there.

My bike got backed into about 10 minutes after getting it street legal by a guy who was too fat to be able to look. So I feel your pain... Sucks.
