driven clip ons sorta clearance issue

So i installed driven clip on yesterday and I found the best position for the bike with how i like it. Both levers miss the from fairing however I have a issue with the risers hitting the black cowl. I am okay with them hitting that since it's towards the inside the bike but I would like to put something there. Possibly some type of rubber with some 3m tape. ?

Or

Is it better to find a spot on the forks that would avoid this issue. If i were to go a tad higher I think I'd be able to do that although I can't recall if it would work that way.

Also if I were to add weight inside the bars like aluminum or steel is there a thing of too much weight in the bars. My father is a machinist and I know if i asked him he would make up something. Thanks in advance

I also wanted to add for people is i slightly turned the front brake line at the lever itself. I would be careful not to loosen it hardly at all since any air that gets in there will not be good for braking. At all so be careful. Since there was a fair amount of tension on that Brake line itself I seen a bracket further down the forks. I took that off and drilled a new hole in that. I found a long enough bolt so i could use washers to space the brake line off the bracket. Its easier to show you a picture of what i did that type it. It freed up a lot of tauntness from the brake line itself. Which gave me more freedom
