bike won't start...
Okay so today i shimmed my needles and pulled my snorkel. when i was done i put the tank on and started my bike to make sure it was good to go. it fired up and ran for about a minute then i shut it off, put the fairings back on, and headed out for a ride. i was going to a gas station to fill up because i was low on gas. i was about there when the bike started to cut out on me and died. i am damn near positive that i ran out of gas, but when i filled her up it wouldn't start and i had to push it back to my place..
some guy at the gas station said that maybe i did something to a spark plug and need to pop them out and clean them? anything helps! btw, its an 09

your carbs are empty of gas. you need to put your gas petcock to the "prime" position to fill them. then try starting the bike. after it starts, put the fuel petcock back to the "on" position.
it's in your owner's manual. btw, fill gas when your trip meter reads 200 miles. |

nah, you should be able to hit 200 easily. just saying to start looking to refill once you hit that. the bike can usually go 220-250, but you're pushing it if you've been on the throttle heavily during that tank. I use 200 as a safe measure to keep from having to push the bike.

i usually push it pretty hard so i'll keep that in mind! although the little ninjette is light for a bike, it sure wasn't fun pushing up a couple hills!
