I drove my bike to Walmart and then home maybe a 30 min ride its very hot today i haven't ridden this bike much so it might be normal but when i shut it down today something continued to run kinda sounded like the fan on a car it turned off after about a min or less

As you suspected. The sound you hears was the radiator fan. It is normal for the fan to run for about 30 seconds after engine shutdown on a hot day.

Or you'll need and old priest, and a new priest to fix it

I always thought that was a whining dog in my gas tank that didn't like sitting at home, it always whined to go out for a ride.

FYI, the fan fuse is powered by the always-hot white wire. The fan will have power even if the key isn't in the bike, and will turn on whenever the temp sensor gets hot enough and completes the circuit.

The older 500 (same junction box as the PreGen) had this wired up to the switched brown wire, so fan (and the accessory fuse) would only be powered when the ignition was on. They changed the harness in later years so these fuses were fed by the always-hot white wire instead.

Personally, I prefer the old configuration, and will be changing mine back to switched power. This makes the accessory fuse switched again (avoiding the j-box hackery described here) and keeps the fan from running when the bike isn't on. I'm more concerned by the always-live circuit than losing the few seconds of cooling (of non-circulating coolant). Plus the fan can continue to run if you really want, just by leaving the key on after you kill the engine.
