2009 ninja 250r carburator

Hi,

How long can i leave the carburator with out gas after draining it and removing the gas tank?
Will it start deteriorating if i leave it for long periods?

Is it good to drain the carburator during the winter?

You can leave it dry for as long as you wont with no ill effects granted that it is dried completely.

Good to drain the carbs for winter storage. There's numerous thread about winterizing your bike that can be applied.

I am planning on draining it from the bolts. Is that good enough?
