Pictures of the bike's carnage are hopefully going to be up tomorrow! I'm going to have my mom and Ryan go take a **** ton of pictures! Plus they should have pictures of my gear and stuff too!

RIght now I'm just chilling in the hospital bed. I've got a stupid catheter dick! It freakin hurts! And my leg is starting I only know tripping out.... so yeah!

I think I can sense the pain killers taking their toll on your typing. But on the bright side, you're looking rather dashing in that hospital gown.

Hey, it's cool, dude. In all seriousness though, I think it's a better picture of you than your avatar. I'll keep an eye on this thread, and look forward to your recovery.

Oh wait till they yank the catheter out, I hope you have a morphine button

The upside to the catheter though is that you don't spill piss on yourself

lol I've had 4 catheter's now. Talk about feeling like an absolute waste of space. I'm like really, I can't even piss on my own? What good am I?

and lol Morphine button. I had that the first night. Now I'm on some weak ass oxycodine and cotin. I want the good medicine that you got!

Your heart monitor. Odd for a surgical patient to have on, especially so long after surgery.

O yeah. Idk. That's kinda what I thought. I questioned them about it, apparently it's because when they try to make me get up and move my heart goes crazy... I'm thinking... no ****! Less than a day ago my leg as snapped in half and now fixed and now I'm supposed to walk around...

Haha very true. We take that as a given were I work. Usually only smokers, asthmatics, COPD, or heart history gets you the ticket to keep it on. Usually it pisses off the patient more than it's worth since they are already trying to juggle so many things and rehabilitate through all the pain.

Regardless, push through the pain and heal up quick. More pain now = less pain later. Just make sure they pre-medicate you before ambulating.

O well that could be the reason too. I am a smoking asthmatic...

But yeah I'm trying too. I just wish they'd give me better pain meds. I don't think these help at all.

Ask for Percocet, 2 of those will fix you up good.

Not really though, any pain killer just takes the edge off

The oxycodone he's taking is the same narc that is in Percocet. Percocet is (usually) 5mg oxy and 325mg Tylenol. Oxycontin is a time release oxycodone, think contin = continuous (release.) So if he's taking that much oxy and it's not I doubt anything short of hydromorphone will take the edge off. Which is very surprising because oxy is a helluva strong drug.

Thanks for all the support guys! It helps a lot to have people support you and your decision to want to hop back on the saddle after an accident!

If I had crashed another way I wouldn't have compared to Sean (Jiggles), but considering how similar our crashes are, it literally pulled a Jiggles!

I'm still in Hospital right now, but I SHOULD be moving over to Rehabilitation Hospital today! Which I'm really excited about!

I have pictures and stuff, but you guys know the drill, the lawyer said no! So eventually!

Hope you heal up fast. Breaking a femur really sucks.

BTW, do you know if the old guys text message went through or not?

I had a girl pull the same stunt with me only she missed me by a few inches. I could see as I went by that she had her cell phone in her lap sending a message. She had previously come to a complete stop and even had her blinkers on. No reason to expect her to turn without looking.

Hope your bike pulls through as well.

Suck! Glad you got out of it mostly intact, even if in a huge amount of pain. Best wishes for a speedy recover and a simple insurance ordeal. Dealing with insurance can almost be worse than the recovery sometimes...
