Mind you, I don't have any saddle bags, but if I did, I'd probably get these:

The Cortech Saddlebags and the tailbag to go with them.

I had the Cortech sport saddle bags, but even fully adjusted with no more wiggle room the right bag would sit on top of the stock exhaust. That was also without weight.

I have the tourmaster select saddlebags right now, which are 2 inches shorter and fit perfectly. Although it seems like everywhere they are out of stock.

Sorry I'm not much help...

Hi there!!! I found the original manufacturer website in Germany. The bags are quite expensive but defently they are worth it!!!

they are quite a bit of money, but since you can take them off and the bike looks stock I think it's worth it. If there aren't hard bags available for my next bike, I'll definitely be getting these.

I got the Cortech sport saddle bags but they are a little droopy and it does sit really close to the exhaust. I wish they had bars like the sw-motech bags so they were not be droopy. I got mine set up so they are almost impossible to remove (will not get stolen) and use it to carry stuff back and forth to work and it even holds a tennis racket with the handle sticking up. I got a really good deal on them and after all the discounts and issues, I paid around $20 for it.

Almost forgot, the tail lights on my '09 got in the way so I moved the lights back near the license plate.

@ninjay250, aren't they technically on the wrong sides? I'm pretty sure that the smaller side is supposed to go to the rear not the front... That way it actually puts the angle the same as the exhaust and the reflective undercoating is facing more to the rear. I don't have a set, but have a friend who has the same set... maybe I'm wrong

You are correct. Since I took that photo I have realized the same thing. But yes, in the photo they are on backward. LOL

How do your bags attach? It looks like it's attached at the foot pegs, is that it or is there more? Could you take a couple more photos? Also you have 3 bags, the link has 2... I'm super interested in this!!

I love to go on long trips/touring so these bags are soo much better than my backpack. hahaha

They come with 4 clips/buckles to attach anywhere on your bike. Also rain covers! I clip them on to the footpeg and on the hook next to the rear turn signals. But since I haven't used my bags since that photo was taken (they're backward) I'm not positive that they will connect to the same place. But I'm pretty sure they will.

I also purchased the sport tail bag and that also clips onto the saddlebags which is very cool because it give them extra support. They also have handles with rubber grips and come with a shoulder strap.

I bought mine from Amazon. That's the cheapest place I found. I chose motorcycle superstore.

LINK TO SADDLEBAGS

Check out their videos. I'd post more photos but I have my bike disassembled right now (working on a few mods).

Hope that helps. If you have any more questions I'd be happy to help

thanks for the link ninjay250!

i was looking at getting the cortech but the motocentric holds more than the cortech even when it is expanded!

could you post a pic of how you have just the tailbag mounted on your ninja? it would be greatly appreciated!

I have those too. I love them! I never thought of mounting them that way, but I don't see why it matters if they fit. Especially on my 650 with the exhaust under my bike and away from them.

I don't have any issues with the bags sliding around. They have a soft rubber grip on the bottom to prevent sliding and scratching.

However, if you're REALLY concerned about scratches, I would suggest you put a cloth underneath because dust can accumulate and rub against your plastics.
