Vibration while idling.
Hello!
I've had some issues with my 2006 Ninja 250 as of recently, solved all of the other ones with a simple cleaning of the oil filter screen, change of filter and oil, however there is quite a bit of vibration in the front end while the bike is idling, any idea what this could be? I've googled a little but I'm going to be honest I have very little bike mechanic skills, any help welcome!!

Is it damaging to the bike? Leaving it as it is right now?

why don't you take a video of it idling and post it here and we can give you a better answer?

Yeah, take a video of her idling. The worst part about working on carbs is getting the damn things out.

maybe its missing an engine bolt, or the frame is cracked. or maybe its only running on one cylinder

I actually found out that the bolt on the bottom of the engine was half way out, due to a nut missing, I replaced it and it still does it, how would I check for cracks in the frame? I know I have to sound awfully dumb, but I am trying to learn at least!! haha

+1 for the video as this could help us identify where to start.
Some simple things to test would be make sure you are getting a spark in both cylinders by using an inline spark tester. Video Here you could also pull the spark plugs and check for proper gap. 0.023 to 0.027 inch use a feeler guage VIDEO HERE

I'm actually trying to get the video to upload right now, the vibration isn't really shown in the video but the sound of the bike is weird.
It will only vibrate enough to show on video if I've been riding it for a while beforehand.

That's actually a good observation that is good to let us know. the vibration gets worse as the bike reaches operating temperature.

I'm guessing it's just not tuned properly and it's idling roughly.
A few things need to be right for it to idle smoothly. The idle speed needs to be set at 1300 hot, the idle mixture screws need to be set correctly (approximately 2 1/2 turns out), and the carbs need to be synced. |

Well, I figured out the problem.
Vacuum leak from the hose. I plugged it, put it on PRI and rode around a bit, ran perfectly as long as the hose is plugged. The petcock nipple came out before, somehow forgot to mention that! All ears for suggestions on how to fix this?
