Is that a boat idling in the distance?

No! That's just my 09 Suzuki DR650, no need to be alarmed.
(it happens to sound exactly like a boat motor when idling... for those that haven't heard a stock DR650).

Sold my 250 a fair bit of time ago to get something more comfortable for my 6'1 self.
Ended up on this dual sport.

As much as I loved my ZZR 250, I couldn't ride it for more then 150 km's at a time without my knees cramping up.
The DR650 has so much more leg room and the fully up right seating position is a welcome change too.

Already had some interesting times on the bike, my first street crash and another crash at a go kart track a mere 4 - 5 days laters.
All together there was really only 100 bucks damage from the two crashes.
Gotta love dual sports!

Onto da pics

Pre-crashes

Having fun at the track

Getting intimate with the asphalt, oooh yeah

Two crashes worth of damage

Pretty much the only damage, aside from a very tiny scratch on the bottom of the right fork and the brake lever (which I just bent back each time).

Once I get some money I'll be pimping this bike out to da max
17" Supermoto wheels, new full exhaust, better carb and many other things to blow my money on.

Yeah that's the good thing with the dual-sports. They wear like a dirtbike.

@Mista Bob Sorry for bring up an old thread, but did you ever get SM wheels for the DR? Do you still even own it? haha.

Cause they look sweet supermoto-ed out!

I though about getting a DR650 and doing that before I got my lil KLX250SF a few months ago. Still might get one in the future.
