Carb Slide

Does anyone know what the factory hole size is for the slides. Not the needle hole but the vaccum hole.

No idea exactly. What are you looking to do to your slides? enlarge the hole for improved throttle response? That can be done with a #70 drill bit to make a 2nd hole, but I had issues with that last summer, so do that at your own risk. I will be going back and opening up the #70 holes again, and playing with my needle mixture to smooth out the poblems I had from drilling my slides

Oh that makes more sense now.

Just curious, have you noticed any oddities when cruising at exactly 6k? does your bike completely stutter and stumble and choke? that's what mine did when I drilled my slides and what made made me decide to seal the holes up

can you do me a huge favor? Like HUGE favor.

Want to add another washer to your needles and see if it helps at all?

Cool tell me how that goes. I suspect raising the needles a little might help with that 6k issue because I've read of people who haven't had any issues with that, so I know it has to be possible to do somehow. I want throttle response it got better when I installed slipons. Then it got better again when I did my intake and jetted. I want more

Ok so I got my new jets in on Friday and got a chance to put them in today. The 110's are I think spot on for WOT. Had to raise the needles up so 5th from the top and opened up mixture screws to 3.5 but still had some popping and surging at cruise so think I'll go to 3.75 and see how that does. Next step is a #40 pilot jet.
