25/198/Carmel Valley Road/1/9/35 ride - 10/29/2008

Last minute post, but if folks want to join me and a few friends on a fun day ride on Wednesday, please do so!

We're meeting at the Denny's Milpitas at 8 AM Wednesday, having some grub, and heading out soon after. The route should be great fun, and get us back to the bay area in mid-afternoon. Here's a pic:

Here's a pic:

Ping me if you'd like a GPX file of the route that can be loaded to your GPS ahead of time.

Carmel, CA

Alex, You bring up some great memories. I remember in 1966 when I was stationed at Ft.Ord and riding my Norton Atlas, that I stopped at a sidewalk cafe in Carmel to get a cup of coffee. I parked my bike next to a Triumph. The Triumph owner and I exchanged some pleasantries and I asked him if he had ever ridden a Norton. Told him it was one up and three down on the right side. No problem. He tried the bike out and thought it was very nice. Turned out it was Bob Dylan. Always liked his music.
