Ownage.
Take that MSF. Saved $250.
Now I can drive on freeways again and at night and with passengers. Even though I have no passenger seat.
Congrats!

I'm sure I'll be around more.

It's still winter though and raining as we speak. Too damn cold up on the hill. I'll see you guys when it's enjoyable to ride outside.

Now to deal with the damn noise.

Congrats!
Many thanks
Thanks for watching along.

Now I need to get a wheelie license and go to wheelie school.
Then track school.

I need to master slow, fast and one wheel.

But not 'till I figure out my noise.

So yeah here's what it looked like what I got there.
It looked like it was going to be OK. Few drops here and there... might be ok if we hurry and get it over with.

Then the lady comes out (who wasn't a sheriff BTW?!)
and informs me that I have two people ahead of me. I
look up at the rain clouds and let out a few expletives.
Parked my bike under the awning and began to freeze
while waiting 40 minutes for the lady to complete the first two testers.

Of course by that time, the rain moved in and I had
never practiced the circle in the rain before. Let alone
my bike had never been out in the rain yet. Poor baby!
I so sowwie! I gave her a nice sponge bath when
I got her home. Yes I did, didn't I! That's my girl!

So yeah that was quite the surprise of events there.
I didn't know if my bike was going to wash out in the
rain trying to turn that tight or not. I guess not!

PS the lady also switched up the routine from what it was normally supposed to be by the book!
I think she seen me out there practicing a few days before or something and just wanted to mess with me.

Moral of story: Check weather and practice before scheduling DMV test.

TRACK SCHOOL!!!! That's our new thing man, we were just at Chuckwalla Valley Raceway yesterday! You have to come out with us, it's so much fun! Just keep in mind that these bikes are not destined to stay pretty when you're out on the track. Sometimes **** happens.

That's what the stunt bike's for.
Didn't keep the 250 for nothing.
I think I may learn best alone when I can focus though.
I'd be happier at race school with people I don't know. That way I'm not competing against people I know. Not my thing. I'd rather have friends than competitors. I can't have both.

I gotta baby the blue bike for a bit. She cost a lot of money.

Don't even like riding it with this noise. In fact it might become 750 pieces again tomorrow.

Anything I ride has to be perfect. Or bent. I do not accept in between. OCD yes. Noises, no.

Oh there is no competition amongst us. Friendly competition at most with the occasional jab but we all just have fun working on our own stuff and helping each other out. It's really an absolutely amazing atmosphere of camaraderie and learning.

For instance Kevin took his last session to follow me some to catch video of me and my lines/body position and then took the lead and had me follow him to get a better idea of racing lines. No competition, all friendly and helpful. These are the kinds of things that go on all day.

Ok, I just read this whole thread -_-, and I'm so jealous right now of you ninja250. It might sound a little stalkerish, but I want to follow in your footsteps. I want the same bike and to gradually work my way up in confidence and skill. I got to ride a friend's old gsxr600, which was in very poor shape(dropped 3 times and not repaired), but to have those 4 cylinders...OMG I had a permanent smile. Although I thought it was going to fall apart on me, it felt like a dream.

Thanks for being an inspiration!!!

I just dont see the point of trying to prove yourself in the streets, who gives a ****? I think its more impressive when someone can drag knee in a parking lot WITH CORRECT FORM then someone who is looking to for a death wish in the canyons

Dont worry, I used to be that douche, I'm not now, and I'm glad I didnt die

We don't compete casey, in all honesty the most helpful and respectful we are to each other is at the track. We are there to learn and get better. we don't race and don't talk bad about each other, always positive and friendly. You should come out with us, it will change your life and your riding for sure.

I'll make it to the track on my own time.
I'm not simply just going to go to the track.
No sir, I'm going to do one better than that.

I have a couple people to put in their place.
Just takes time.
I have all the time in the world. The next 30 years to be exact.
These jerks around here picked the wrong kid to talk down to.

See you guys at GMR later if you wanna ride with me.
Flag me down. Use a handgun signal.
Ain't too proud to ride my streetbike on the street.

PS..
I happen to think anyone who stops riding the "canyons" because they had a tiny bit of track time and are afraid they can no longer control their wrist or their motorcycle and ride their own ride well enough to make it through GMR without getting hurt or doesn't want to come riding with me is completely immature and petty. No reason I would want to go riding at the track with anyone like that. Might as well put me on ignore now.

Specially when a few months ago they were playing with a string of 20 Audi's passing them around blind corners while I sat back and watched from a safe distance shaking my head.

Ken and Chrissy don't seem to have a problem riding canyons in the middle of the night, ey guys.

People who can't figure out how to ride a twisty without hurting themselves make me laugh.
Not the type of people I want to go riding with even if they invite me to the track.
I never once so much as came close to dumping anything on GMR.
I never will.

Had the time of my life on GMR today and didn't even get a knee down like normal.
I want to go to the track with Ken and Chrissy because they have balls enough to ride a twisty road and make it through without hurting themselves. Sounds like common sense, skills and control to me. That's the kind of people I want to ride with.

I will never ride with anyone who stops riding the canyons because they cannot control themselves or their motorcycle. Grow the hell up. I will never stop riding the canyons.
I've never felt more free.

buddy, theres a difference between riding canyons and enjoying yourself, and pushing your skills to learn. you cant push yourself in canyons without serious risk. you can push yourself balls to the walls at the track with very little consequence if you screw up.

besides, dont you think its "immature and petty" to get butthurt over people going to the track to the point that you no longer want to ride or talk to them?

Casey i think you misunderstood me. I am not telling you to not ride a canyon, ride where you want when you want. I also have no intention of not riding the mountains in socal. Though i have never been one to push it in the canyons (you rode with me you know this) and i still dont. i ride thme because i love being up there, i enjoy the air and the scenery and the calmness i get. I am only telling you to go to a track because i think you will have a blast. i have never told anyone how to ride and wont start now.

I do disagree that people who stop riding the canyons and mountains have done so out of there own reasons and it has nothing to do with the ability to control their motorcycle or an ability to make it through it with out getting hurt.

I will say there are two canyons i don't ride and do not enjoy riding, one of them being GMR the other being up and down the 33. To many times people who think they have skill that go to fast have blown a corner and taking out riders like me there up there to just enjoy a nice ride. That is ok though because there are a million mountain roads all with in a short distance that i can go and enjoy.

Lol, what is immature is abandoning people you rode with because you go to the track now. lolol

That's just straight gay. I'll do wheelies on you. I live on a motorcycle every single day.

I've only crashed with any seriousness once. Not like half the people I know.

The other times was dumb shyt in my driveway or going around a speedbump in the dirt at 5mph. Oh boy.

The people that talk down to me like they know something report crashes in here all the time. lol

I get more practice than you guys at the DMV on my way home from GMR. I don't need support to do it either. The gayer you sound the more I don't want to ride the track.

But I will anyways. You'll see. Just to put people like you in your places. I have a hell of a lot more control than you can imagine. I tend to not mess around with jokesters anymore. I am one to speak my mind. You don't like it, go away.

Quit being so petty. GMR kicks serious ass if you don't have to PUSH your bike through it.

Why don't you guys go compete about "don't crash man and don't position wrong man".
I'm a real biker. I don't abandon my buddy because he likes to go fast in the hills.
I'm not an idiot either. I learn from my mistakes.

I don't bitch out and sell off my bike when I crash it. I keep paying for it and fix it back up and learn how to ride it better.

:Hey casey don't slam into a car in the hills even though I played around the cars while you stood back shaking your head".
Yeah, fawk you. lol Don't worry, I'll see you at the track sooner or later.

Oy! Not all vagina'd people are as dramatic as him! I'm not really into the whole bitching and dramatising thing myself... I get the impression most of the other women in here aren't either.

That's because you all ride motorcycles! There is no time for drama!

I'm sure. He started out with "who are you?"

He's talking about Kevin2109 being so critical when they used to ride GMR together before Kevin and Havok (Jeff) hit the track.

See? I'm pretty sure he's referencing Kevin's crashes. I didn't mean to bump this thread and I'd rather stay on both of their good sides, so let's just leave it at that.

Edit: I see that Kevin and Alex ride together, so he might be talking to both. I know Kevin has low-sided on GMR but I don't know if Alex has ever had an issue.

Alex has had a pushing issue on GMR; so yes, his comments were directed at the two of them.

You're right, but all the nasty comments were about crashing. Most were directed at Kevin because Alex didn't crash there (his bike "died") and Casey wasn't there when Alex was to my knowledge. He didn't "watch" Alex. He did watch Kevin.
