swing arm swap
Wondering if any body knows if the klx250s swing arm could swap onto our frame as being you can fit a 160-170 rear tire between it.

You won't get much help around here with wide tires, or extended swing arms... Those threads don't last long at all :/
Lemme know what ya figure out though.

Hahahaha I'd hate to hear that's how we ride in Florida again, that's always a mess. But idk where these folks live in fl... I see wide tire extended bikes daily!

I'm attempting a one off cafe racer with my bike I wanted to put a wider tire in the back to make it look a lot more aggressive, I'm sure that the klx250s swing arm will swap over I was just wondering if any body else attempted something similar to this.

I know I saw Ivanrules build thread and that bike looks effin amazing. That is kind the look I want to go with but with a wider rear tire and a completely custom exhaust. When I build the rear seat pan I will also be doing the tail light and turn signals differently.

Have you actually seen, or heard of this mod being done? I own a klx250sf and just took some rough measurements of its' swingarm compared to the one on my 300. They aren't even close, the klx swingarm is skinnier and shorter than the one on the 300 which is probably the opposite of what you are wanting. Ninja 300 and 250 share the same swingarm btw.
I have a 150 on the back of my klx and there isn't much room back there, I've seen some people squeeze a 160 on there, but I doubt you could get a 170 to fit.

Dunno about knobbies, the klx250sf came with street tires, 130 in the rear. You can fit a 160 on there but it's a tight fit. You'd have a harder time getting the swingarm to fit correctly. The only swaps for the ninjette that I have heard of is from an Aprillia or the aftermarket.

08+ ninjette swing arm bolts right on and allows for a 150 rear tire( I know, I have one on right now).
