Yah I put a good amount of work into it and was really surpised on how cheap it was. I even cut hole in the chain guard to make it look tough.

You did a real good job on the conversion..just my 2cents but I hate the ninja 250 as a streetfighter..the front forks are too wimpy looking and have too much rake to look good without plastic. I wish there was a cheap USD fork upgrade to the ninjette.

Wow, very stealthy. I like, but would be tempted to repaint the front mini-fairing matte black to match.
Out of curiosity what do you have attached to the tank in the old fairing upper brackets? Looks like perhaps trimmed remains of the fairing or an add-on knee plate.

Yah when I crashed i had only a little left of the fairing to cut up cuz I didn't want to leave it bare, it would look to ugly. and also yes knee grips, (very helpful if you like the twisties. thanks for the comment

http://www.vhtpaint.com/flameproof.html They make a pretty good product designed specifically for exhaust and other severe heat applications. I just painted my headers flat black about two months ago & holding up great. Took me three tries, mostly because 'someone' didn't follow instructions very well and changed my mind on colors mid-project... If you want to go hog wild (doubt it since you're going streetfighter which is usually a minimalist effort) you could have them ceramic powder-coated which is a good bit tougher than just a rattle-can paintjob. If not the heat, then why not repaint? Personally I like the silver forks and cans, think it makes a great accent to the solid black everywhere else. Not

High temp. paint works a treat, used it myself for my heatshield.
As for that picture you posted up... damn that thing is nice. Are you going to consider shortening your tail?

I like it, but I think it would look a little meaner if you lowered the front end a bit and add some clip-ons.
