Ladies gear!
I am looking for a comfortable jacket but also should be stylish.
BUT i also need it to fit well. (Not ride up when bent on the bike, not Guy fitted) I really like this Icon Jacket but I wanted to see what else was out there. I would like something that is black and light weight as I live in california and it gets HOT! My bike is red so maybe some red on it but mainly black! any cool designs would be sweet! any ideas? I also want to stay in the $100-150 range! |

both men and women have posted in that thread. just gives you a better idea of what's out there and if you happen to see something you like, you could always PM the person that posted.

I've had good luck with Alpinestars and Fieldsheer for jackets. My favorite pants are my new Scorpion Hellena. Those things are COMFY!
Astars are pretty true to size. In FS, you have to order a size bigger than usual (in their pants, sometimes even 2 sizes bigger than usual!) In my Scorpion pants, I ordered a medium and I'm usually a size 4-5 in pants. Hope that helps!

I really like my Scorpion Elektra jacket, its super comfortable and has a removeable liner. I've found Scorpion run true to size for the most part. I have a leather perforated Icon Jacket as well and they run small. Be very careful with Icon gear for ladies, many of the jackets are cropped short, meaning if you stand up it looks fine (fits like a normal jacket) but when you lean over to riding position it leaves your lower back exposed. I really dislike wearing it but for hot SoCal summers the perforated leather is awesome.
BTW black is the wrong color if you are trying to stay cool lol. |

My wife has the Scorpion Nip Tuck Jacket, with the adjustable side lacing. She really likes it.

yea i know black is the wrong color but i dont want anything bright and flashy or would clash with my bike. Also, i really like the Scorpion Elektra jacket! i looked at it online. i did go try on the Icon jacket that i like at the store in an Extra Small (all that was left) and it actually fit. I was considering on getting a medium or large online but now i think i would have to either get a small or medium. They actually ran big on me! i couldnt believe i fit an extra small but you are right. they are cropped in the back very short but i sat on a bike at the shop i looked at jackets at, and it didnt make a big problem. I always wear a fitted long shirt underneath to cover my back as well. Its such a hard decision! i wish i had a better jacket store around here! |

My wife had the Scorpion Nip-Tuck jacket and the Savannah pants that went with it were also scorpion. We were unhappy with the combo as there was 2-3 inches of her lower back showing when riding...and it's not like the 250 ninja has you all that leaned over anyway. Good tailoring, flattering female fitment, but too short in the back, no zip or snap to pants which would have been nice. Also, I like jackets that have a lower back or waist padding for your lower spine. I know it may not be the most flattering thing for a female's figure, but it was a concern of ours. Looking feminie on a sportbike with protective gear is hard to do anyway. I'd recommend wearing some cute stuff underneath to make up for it ;-)

it fits fine on me, but some of the other girls on this site that are fairly taller say that the icon jackets exposed the small of their back, I never had that problem with my jacket since i'm short. with any gear you buy, check out the store and try them on, some places even have a bike as display so you can sit on the bike with your gear on so you can see how it fits on your while in the riding position.

Closeout at Motorcyclegear.com on women's tourmaster gear: Tourmaster LRX Series 2 for 89.99. Good price for what looks to be decent jacket. Comes in lots of colors, and matching overpants for $116.
I can't believe I've just been driven to posting about powder blue and pink women's motorcycle gear. Stupid ninjette.org.

I seen you already bought a jacket, but thought I'd mention the jacket I got since you said your bike was red. I have the scorpion dahlia jacket in black. It has red accents in it. I got the matching helmet as well. Love the fit and how it contours to the body.

I ended up getting the Icon Jacket. I got it in Medium and DO LOVE IT! BUT it is a bit big. I went a size up thinking i would need some room for laying and such but i might need to take it and get it altered. This jacket definetely runs big. I love it though! it has a removable liner and it is made perfectly for women. It has a long back and is completely stylish! You can tell its a womans jacket.

I've been looking around trying to find a nice female jacket as well. I ran across the icon jacket that you bought too and it looked really nice! The only problem was they didn't have it in a medium -.- they only had large. Oh well. How is the jacket so far for you?

BUT i absolutely love it. it fits perfect and has enough cushion but at the same time is very airy and CUTE! it has removalable pads and is made with the highest quality. I just found a lucky charm that the company put in one of the pockets. i dont know what they are called but they are lucky charms for people that ride motos. i thought that was very sweet.

Little late to the game, as I see the OP has already purchased a jacket. But I am a huuuuuge fan of Rev'it stuff! I have the Siren jacket (there's a really wicked review of the black version here: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=440943). Mine is red.
