Recommend a good summer jacket?
I like the one I have now that I been using and like. I figured this time I'll ask people in the know what their opinion for my next one. That way I can feel a bit more confident in the comfort and safety and not just what looks cool
I like to keep it mostly black with red accents. If brands matter I do have a scorpion helmet and familR with alpinestar and icon as well. I don't ride much in cooler weather although some late summer nights are quite brisk. Figure I'll cross that bridge when I get there - kinda like that hoody-jacket. Any ideas ? Thanks

For cheap you can get a Joe Rocket mesh jacket for like $120
It's what I am rocking and the water liner is great for winter weather. Not too sure if it will actually offer great protection though, my one low side was super slow but I didn't get scratched up. |

If you tend to ride early spring to late autumn, I'd look for a multi season jacket that has an outer shell you can zip over the mesh to block the cool evening air but remove easily for warmer/hotter days. Several brands make them, I like my Tourmaster version personally.
The mesh jackets that have an inner rain/wind proof liner may work for you as well, I tend to like the liner on the outside. As an example: Scorpion Hat Trick

@Bob2010 meet @iceknyght
Not sure your size, or how much shipping would be but hey, it meets the rest of your criteria. http://www.ninjette.org/forums/showthread.php?t=165533

My mesh textiles are great.
They flow lots of air, but can dehydrate you quickly in extreme heat.

I found out that I take 2 different sizes depending on brand. So today hopefully I'll try some jackets on from a local shop. See what fits best.
Been looking at the Hat Trick II and the Clutch jackets. Thanks for all the help

I have one of these as it gets dang hot here
this jacket flows a good amount of air when moving It also has a thin wind breaker liner you can zip in & out for the mild cold times. Has decent Armour & can accommodate a back protector insert as well as zip to pants http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/d...textile-jacket It has held up well & no problems. |

I love the Hat Trick Jacket... It is mesh and has 2 liners, so for me, being that we don't get super cold temps here, I could basically wear it year round... The only bad side is that it's a bit snug with both liners in, but I rarely have both liners in. I either run it without the liners or with the quilted liner... A lot of times, when I was wearing it to commute, I would wear it with the liner on the way to work and without on the way back... Very nice to have that option.
