dropped my ninja 250 in a parking lot

Hey guys so I dropped my ninja 250 in a parking lot. I was trying to find parking at the hospital and just wasn't being carefull enough because I just wanted to go in as my friend was hurt... I was devistated but there seems to only be a small scratch on the side. Gas was leaking out of it, is that normal when the bike is on it's side.

Anyways now the r.p.m.s seem a little different. Maybe it's just me but it seems that I can go much faster in first gear (like 50 k) without the rpm going over 7. My bike hasn't even had it's first service yet and seemed to need gearing up by 30 k before. maybe it's my imagination but it also seems I have to put a lot more throttle into it when starting the bike from a stopped position turning hand significantly. Do you think anything is wrong with it or is it fine? It's rideable it just seems off.

Sorry to hear you dropped your bike Hill. Glad you're ok atleast. I'd say give it some time. I'm no expert but mayber some oil got in the mix and it jsut needs to burn out of the engine or something. If the bike is new make sure you stick to the break in and oil change schedule and you should be fine. If it keeps doing it after a few days I'd say take it to a Pro.... I think you'll be fine tho. Again glad you're ok.

did the shift lever get bent or something? count your shifts all the way up to 6th while going slow in a safe area, then count your shifts back down to first to make sure its really 2nd and wont go to 1st. can you get it in neutral?

is it possible the throttle cable got knocked out of alignment? and yes I just dropped mine twice today, gas leaks out of the cap. it shouldn't because the cap should be designed to hold pressure, but it doesn't they cheaped out on the gas cap on these 250's.

The gas cap is designed to release pressure

Mine squees like a hummingbird....

I second the notion of counting gears. It does sound an awful lot like it's in second.
